| After a year negotiating with the City of Laredo, the Laredo Police Officers Association struck a deal at the end of April for its next five-year contract that includes a 4-percent pay rate increase for all ranks through captain and officer compliance with random drug testing.Over the five years the contract is estimated to cost the city about $8 million, said City Manager Carlos Villarreal. |
